Little charms, glistening and sparkly!
This little charm can be used as a handbag charm or as a Christmas tree decoration. It looks fantastic as either. The copper coin at the bottom of the charm has been made using air dry clay. I fashion the shape and imprint a pattern onto the surface. This then has to dry which takes about 36 hours. Once the clay is dry, I paint the entire surface with a few coats of metallic paint. One that is dry, I can apply a few coats of matt varnish. That all has to dry which takes another 12 hours. The copper coin is then threaded onto purple, hemp thread. Scattered throughout the rest of the thread are tiny, multi-coloured, ultra-sparkly seed beads and a large dark pink and silver coloured miracle bead. This bead refracts light wonderfully, it looks similar to the light play you get with tigers eye. I guess that's why they're called miracle beads! The length of this charm from the top of the thread to bottom of the coin is 4.5 inches. |
