Neat little daisies in a row. The daisies in this design are much more regimented and stay put within the border of this bracelet.
This is made using peyote stitch, this means each is hand woven not loom woven. This adds to the uniqueness of each piece, making it far more flexible and durable than loomwork. For more information on peyote stitch please click here. This bracelet took 4 1/2 hours to complete The border uses sky blue seed beads which have an iridescence to them. These beads are firepolished which means that in good lighting the surface has a multicoloured sheen across them (a bit like petrolium). The main body colour of this piece has light purple, lined beads. The outermost layer of each bead is actually clear it is just the innermost core of the bead which is coloured. This gives the beads a lovely sheen. The daisies around the edges are worked in candy pink, lined beads. In the centre of each daisy is a black glossy bead. The finishing beads on this bracelet are snowflake obsidian crystals. The length of this bracelet on smallest bead setting is 6 1/2 inches and on largest bead setting it is 7 inches. The width of the bracelet is 2 cm. I have gone for the traditional loop and button closing. The finishing beads on this bracelet are a watermelon colour - both green and pinky at the same time with delicate, silver scrolling over the surface. The length of this bracelet is 6 1/2 inches on the shortest setting and 7 inches on the longest. The width is 2cm.
