Little charms, glistening and sparkly!
This little charm can be used as a mobile phone charm, handbag charm or you can use it as a Christmas tree decoration. I have knotted the thread in a way that allows this to be used as a mobile phone charm, but it looks amazing any way you choose to use it. The silver heart at the bottom of the charm has been made using air dry clay. I fashion the shape and imprint a pattern onto the surface. This then has to dry which takes about 36 hours. Once the clay is dry, I paint the entire surface with a few coats of metallic paint. One that is dry, I can apply a few coats of matt varnish. That all has to dry which takes another 12 hours. The silver heart is then threaded onto purple, hemp thread. Scattered throughout the rest of the thread are tiny, multi-coloured, ultra-sparkly seed beads and a pretty, red, fire polished heart bead. This cute little heart is made from glass in the Czech republic. It is fire polised on one side, which gives it a multi-coloured sheen. The length of this charm from the top of the thread to bottom of the coin is 4.5 inches. |
